“I joined the football team my sophomore year. I was a nervous kid who didn’t know anything about football. One day we were scrimmaging with the varsity team. I glanced over and saw some amazing older players. Looking at their size, movement, and sharp reactions, I instantly recognized them as my role models. From then on, I was motivated to play and to practice my skills, knowing that one day I’d like to be just like them.”
