“For more than 30 years, Jeff Young embodied Stevenson’s commitment to athletic excellence and true sportsmanship. As our athletic director, football and lacrosse coach, mentor, and colleague, Coach Young taught us how to work together, compete with grit and determination, and show respect for self and others in both victory and defeat. And, in the finest tradition of the many faculty couples who dedicate their lives to this community, during this period Beth Young was an equally inspiring presence in our lives.

So, when it came time for us to choose a name for the current upgrade of our athletic complex, it was clear that the resulting facility should forever honor these two remarkable people and the gift of their example.”
